Big News!

Hey guys! Sorry for our leave of absence, but we have been planning something big. Something incredible. And stuff.

So, let me first summarize my understanding of the show: The podcast was originally intended to be 52 episodes and released weekly so that it would run an entire year. We ran into setbacks because of school, but the entire plotline had already been planned out. There's just one thing about the show: It's not very good. Yeah, that's true. The writing is alright, but the acting, effects and quality is horrible. I know this. So, if you thought the show WAS good, prepare to have your mind blown...

Currently in preproduction is the feature-length HAM Radio Movie!

The title will be "Hans and Micheal's Daring Venture", and it will be based off of the entire plotline planned for the podcast. Oh, and catch this, it will actually be GOOD! It will be made well, as best as we can.

Fans of the show, I hope you're exited about this. I may be giving you updates on production of the film, so stay tuned!

Smile a while today. Work is play for anyone that hums. Smile today. Tomorrow never comes. if you cheer up, Sky's will clear up. Clouds will pass away. So save your sorrow for tomorrow you will have a great day you live on the bright side, always on the right side so smile a little while today.!"

Story Time with michael

I decided to write a short story. enjoy!

Shattered Pieces by Michael M. (I'm not telling you my last name)

Drip. Drip. Drip. Drip. The sound of dripping water only made the day even more gloomy as Roger looked out the window. "It was a Stormy day," the news had said, "it was going to rain," but not this hard. Roger was not in the mood for anything as he stared at his half typed paper on his typewriter. The words were all incorrect; he couldn't pay attention so he just tore the paper out of the roller and threw it in the bin. He needed inspiration. He needed something to give him a great story to write about. Roger was barely able to afford his home. It was not that long ago that the his wife died so suddenly, that he was depressed and lost his job for being off task, and being a writer was his only choice left. What he didn't know he was always a great writer but nothing of great importance came along. Drip. Drip. Drip. Another bunch of raindrops falling from the roof onto the ground outside: he could hear them falling them it all came down again: another storm. Roger closed the curtain, turned on the record player, then started typing again. The record slowly slid down onto the turn table and spinned round and round the needle dropped itself onto the machine and started playing "Theme for A Dream" By Chet Atkins. He wasn't much of a guitar person but this song was sad and he loved it: he liked the sound of the crying guitar strings and then began typing again, the sound of the hammers hitting paper was droning out the rain, but the music was still strong enough to be heard.

"What are you going to do Roger this is your chance write about something: anything. He stopped and went to the living room and turned on the radio while he was searching for a book on the shelf to get some inspiration. "Hello Spring dale this is Spring dale radio and I'm your host Bert Wi... The following broadcast has been interrupted by the department of civil defense Fellow Americans please stay calm but in the past few hours we have been declared war by the soviet union and nuclear missiles are heading towards America. Every city is in danger be advised and go into your local fallout shelter or your own shelter and hide." Roger dropped his books and locked his doors. If this is true then I have to be safe every American is going to go nuts in a couple of minutes. He was right: the kids playing in the rain were being screamed at to come back inside and get dressed. He would go to the fallout shelter but it would be too crowded. He had already built his own and was ready for this day but now he felt so very unready. roger grabbed his clothes from his closet all his suits, pants, shirts, and hats. He then threw them into the shelter in his basement he then grabbed all the foods, water, every drop, every bottle of soda, anything. Then he went for the radio and some batteries and dropped them inside the shelter there was already food but he needed more then there was the matter of the type writer and the record player he grabbed the records and some reels of tape then came back for the reel to reel. Last but not least the TV just in case roger grabbed more furniture and lamps then he went back for his shotgun and shells when there was a knock at the door Roger froze. What should he do. He was scared.

He went and looked through the peephole and saw a family. Not just any family, his neighbors, and he knew the Henderson's since he moved in. He opened the door and let the in Martha's face light with joy and Henry a sigh of relief, "Oh roger thank you for letting us in. I knew you would let us in me and my family couldn't make it to the shelter in time and we were locked out there, bombs hitting the east coast and some coming for California we need to hurry." "Well then come on in hurry there isn't much time" Roger locked the door and let them into the shelter. He quickly locked the blast door and waited. He then organized the large shelter until it looked like a nice and cozy home. His type writer and extra ribbons and some stacks of paper. There was everything he could need for typing. Then there was some reels of tape and his reel to reel on the side roger turned on the Radio and listened to the civil defense channel. Then he waited on the coach with his neighbors. He felt worried about the food supply, but he had enough for a long time, but for how long? Then he felt a loud boom shake the entire shelter a bit, then another, and then another, then came dozens of huge blasts he felt his home fall under the entire blast. It was too late to go out to the world as he and his neighbors knew ended for good and would never be the same.
To be continuedI, Henry fixed spelling!

Really new logo!

Well, Michael's over right now to record the show, and we made some improvements to the logo! I'm not really sure if we should keep this new logo, but maybe it's good. I'm not really sure, but we'll probably use it anyway. See ya!

It's time that I told you all about me, Michael!

So, today after coming home from school I decided to read the old posts and listen to music while I waited for Hans to answer the darn phone (or is he still on his scooter? I don't know.) Well, anyhow, here's my point of view on how our radio show was created. So It was another day of first period science how fun with my "Nice" teacher Mrs. Le. I was messing around like always because I have ADD or ADHD (dunno) which makes me super hyper and very annoying. that's always been a thing i hated. i always wanted to make friends, but because of my love for the 50's and my hyper activity they would stay away from me because I was weird. anyhow, other than that, there was a kid who would always wear a yellow sweater and some crazy shirt and soon a top hat. his name was Hans. I knew him from this drawing he made once. I saw it and we started talking about something. I don't know what it was, but I think it had to do with his shirt with a TV on it that's the one I have in my room. my memory fails me on how we met, but i do know its because i started talking about cassettes or reel to reels so he said if i would like to do a radio show with him. I said OK since i wanted to be in the radio business (that, or because I felt like I wanted to do something with my life that's an adventure.) this was it. I said yes because it was an oppunrtunity to make Friends and have fun. well, it seems that's Hans like my idea of a 50's radio show. he was wary at first about me playing ads from some game. I know he is afraid to death of copyrights, which i understand, so i recorded my test show on my portable micro cassette recorder. when i gave it to him he liked it. it wasn't in such a great quality, but it was still swell. so i recorded more episodes with Hans. he's a bit busy, I could tell from the start. he's always doing something and has a 50% chance of going all Bermuda triangle on you. there"s also the chance of a headache that will immobilize him for a day, but it doesn't matter. Hans is a good guy; nice and retro, which also doesn't hurt. he's a smart guy when it comes to sound editing. that's something good for a radio show, don't you think? well its been nice so far but I'm worried the year will go by fast and we'll go our separate ways. maybe if we don't do something... I'm scared. the episode we made i wanted it posted but Hans says hes got a better idea. hope its a good idea for a show. still typing and I'm still waiting for him to get home. i always wondered what "did he do on Fridays?" so, ill post again some day, dunno when .that's all for know (wow that's a lot of typing.)

ps sorry for the spelling mistakes but im in a rush!

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Okay

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything on here for a while, but I've been to busy creating the new blog!

It took me a while, but now everyone will know the full history of the show! thanks for your patience!

Underwater City A Reality!

Praxis revealed their mysterious underwater city today after weeks of wonder of what they were up to. the city is now full of happy inhabitants. up above the city is almost an entirely self supportive area with places for artist to preform, and is also full of art deco style gardens and a city monorail.

this photograph was taken from my hotel bedroom window! yes, believe it or not, I was invited to report about this event representing H.A.M. Radio. it was, indeed, a city of spectacular wonders: robotic butlers and maids and all the things you could want. there's a shopping center and luxurious 5 star restaurants. it's also a great place for a vacation! I'll be reporting more from this new city later on today since I got to go and have a meeting at the futuristic business district.I believe we'll find out what they finally decided to name this glorious city! I'll report back then!

Sorry

I haven't been here in a while. I guess I just forgot that my last post was on Thursday.

So, I'm going to record the first episode when I can, most likely this week. Sorry for the lack of updates, but there's not much to update other than the first episode will be out soon and an episode will be recorded and released the same day every week. I'm just making sure everything is set up correctly so that I can just do the same thing every week after the first episode.

We'll probably record 2 episodes the day we record the first in case we need a replacement one week we can't record. then, the week after we release the replacement, we'll record a replacement with that episode.

The show will be like an old fashioned adventure show where me and Michael go on improved "adventures" relating to evil corporations and ridiculous conspiracies. there will be inturuptions for ads and "technical difficulties", where we play a retro superhero adventure skit with me and my sister.

So, i'll see you later!

It's Mr. Roosevelt!

I wonder if anyone will realize this text is here

The latest Rumor

Praxis, a humble sponsor of H.A.M. Radio and brilliant manufacturer has gone to great lengths to create the best of the best when it comes to audio recording and broadcasting, as well as their newline of aquatic scuba gear.

But, a question has been left unanswered: what is the purpose of this line of scuba gear? Some think it's the beginning of new water proof audio players. Others say that Praxis is simply going out there and trying new ideas.

However, those thinkers may be more right than they know!

There's a small but powerful group of people that say that Praxis has plans for an underwater musical city. Could this be true, or is it just a random step into new technologies? Check this blog and Behind the Radio for more updates on these rumors and others!

I'm sick

yeah. It might be strep throat, but whatever it is, it's making me lose my voice, which really sucks, considering I wanted to record the first episode sometime this week. Well, I've actually got nothing else to say...sorry to annoy you...anyone? besides people I already know.

socks

Socks have evolved over the centuries from the earliest models which were made from animal skins gathered up and tied around the ankles. In the 8th century BC, the Ancient Greeks wore socks from matted animal hair for warmth. The Romans also wrapped their feet with leather or woven fabrics. By the 5th century AD, socks called ‘puttees’ were worn by holy people in Europe to symbolise purity. By 1,000 AD, socks became a symbol of wealth among the nobility. From the 16th century onwards, an ornamental design on the ankle or side of a sock has been called a clock.
The invention of a knitting machine in 1589 meant that socks could be knit six times faster than by hand. Nonetheless, knitting machines and hand knitters worked side by side until 1800.
The next revolution in sock production was the introduction of nylon in 1938. Until then socks were commonly made from silk, cotton and wool. Nylon was the start of blending two or more yarns in the production of socks, a process that still continu

Not much going on part 2

Hey everyone. Yesterday I told you the story of Much ado about nothing and mentioned someone named Anthony. Well, as you can see, Anthony isn't listed as a host and some of you may not understand why. Well, it's now time for the second untold part of our history.

So, the next day, I told Anthony of the name change and introduced him to Michael. He wasn't at all aware we were going to have a second host on the show, but he didn't seem to care too much. About a week later, I had Michael come over to my house to record the first episode. He brought his Praxis Stereomatic and some old music tapes.

We had come up with a concept that I would supposedly be a new host on the radio show in the first episode, and Anthony would do the same in the second episode because he wasn't there for the first one. So we recorded and I showed it to my friend, Shayan, and he thought it was hilarious!

A few weeks later, we decided to record the second episode, but at school during lunch instead of at my house. We tried a few times, but it just didn't work out. It turns out Anthony didn't really care if he was a host on the show at all! He thought he was only coming on for one episode! So, we dropped the Three host thing and changed the title from "Hans Anthony Michael" to "Hans And Michael" and thus ended Anthony.

I hope you enjoyed my story...or at least read it all the way through. see you later!

Vitamin C Is Your Freind!

The Society Of Healthy Oranges today has announced that a big full glass of orange juice a day may help you become more healthy. So go buy yourself a carton or two and drink your way to health.

Not much going on...

Hi people. As progress with the first episode goes, it's the same as it was as my last post. As you can see, Michael got the chance to write some posts...within the same hour. I've also installed some ads around. So, the only reason I'm posting is because I'm not going let this blog collect dust and spider webs like the last one. I figure I'll put a post up here every few days, even if there's nothing to post about, because I hate when it's weeks before my favorite sites update.

Well, since I didn't mention it much at all in the old blog, I figure I'll explain the very short lived phase of our radio show: Much ado about nothing. Once chipmunk an' stuff began to die down , I decided that none of my friends would want to be the co-host of a chipmunk radio show and turned it into a normal radio show entitled Much ado about nothing.

Immediately, I began searching for a new co-host for this show. I came to my friend Matt first, but he wasn't interested. Then I went to my friend Anthony. After completely explaining the concept, he said yes.

There was this kid in my science class. His name was Michael. He sat next to me and was always making weird phrases and dressing like he was stuck in the 50's. A lot of the time, the stuff he said made me laugh and I figure "why not have more than one host on my show?" So, I ask him, and he says yes.

I decide to have Michael record some test lines for a segment we were going to do called "Message from Michael" in which Michael would say whatever came to mind and we would put it in a random spot of every episode. I had come up with the acronym H.A.M., standing for Hans, Anthony, and Michael and replaced it as the name a few times when talking to Michael. Well, as it turns out, he thought it was the title of the show and recorded the whole thing using it.

Well, just went with it and changed the name, and that was the end of much ado about nothing.

I hope you enjoyed the story, and didn't just skip it. I'll see you all later!

Atomic Energy And Peace

Seconds ago, the last living world leaders formed a treaty to never let this atomic disaster happen again. So the world was united under one flag that shall fly next to the flags of the world and this shows how earth and the atom are working for you. good night and may all the future be bright.

NEWS FLASH

the world was shaken today by the dropping of the atom bomb. the word spread across the world like a wildfire. soon the entire earth knew and saw the familiar mushroom cloud we all fear. every woman, man and child ducked and covered on the east coast, while some ran into local fallout shelter to protect themselves from the blast. just minutes after the convention we had a report from our roving reporter Jimmy by telephone seconds before the bombs fell. "Hello this is Jimmy an.....*Blastwave*...OH GOD I DON'T WANT TO DIE.....*static* end of recording" the blast's were heard around the globe and soon people flocked to mars and some who couldn't afford that trip went to fallout shelters around town and the middle class's flocked to the luxury shelters. the world was shaken up today, but one thing is left unanswered: who shot the missiles. and while the question is still at large please visit Behind The Radio for the full story and read about the details. this is Michael and this post is in memory of Jimmy, the roving reporter.

Album Cover!

That's right folks! the H.A.M. Radio cover artwork is finished! t's not much, but it's what the podcast will show next to the title... or something. So, the show might not be on iTunes for a while, so you'll have to upload it to iTunes yourself by saving the file we put up. The only reason i because I really have no idea what an RSS feed URL is, and you need the address to upload it.

anyway, I'm tired and that's why my writing is so bad right now. I can't think of anything else to say. Later!

Hey everyone!

Well, progress with the first episode is slow, but we've figured out what exactly is going to happen during the episode. so, listeners, if you're not a fan of a normal talk show: not to worry, it gets more exiting later on. For those of you that aren't fans of old fashioned adventure radio shows, you can listen to the first five minutes over and over.Ya'know, I can type whatever I want here, and no one would notice
The length will be between 20-35 minutes every week with the exception of holiday specials which will be between 50-65 minutes. the whole show will sound like it takes place in the 50's, but the quality will be crystal clear and we will occasionally mention newer technologies with the addition of SPOILER ALERT: HIGHLIGHT TO VIEW. evil robots.

anyway, I hope you all enjoy the show. It will most definitely be the best show ever to be posted on this blog(yes, I know I've said it before on the old blog, but it's a good line, so shut up).Yes, I'm talking to you. no, you. the other one, on the left. yes, you.
